Site Mechanical Supervisor

My client is building a new coal fired power plant of 800 MW at Wilhelmshaven in Germany (Basse Saxe area near Bremen) and they are in charge of the architect engineer function . To assist the Mechanical Site Team Leader, my client is looking for a Mechanical Supervisor . For the Coal Fired Boiler (depending of experience of the candidate, Steam Turbine and auxiliaries domain of responsibility may also be considered as an alternative), he will report to the Mechanical Team Leader and will be in charge of:

the coordination of the activities of the contractors and the multidisciplinary coordination to ensure the coherency of the technical interfaces (in collaboration with the other colleagues of the engineering team in charge of Civil Works , Electricity and Instrumentation & Control)
nthe follow up of the mechanical activities to ensure conformity to technical and contractual specifications
the follow up of the respect of rules and specifications related to Health & Safety in respect with mechanical erection procedures
the review and follow up of the Quality Plan the follow up of the time schedules and physical progress
the follow up of conformity tests , such as hydraulic tests
the reporting related to mechanical activities and the coordination with the Engineering Contract Managers the participation to and/or organization of the coordination meetings and the drafting of the minutes of meetings


Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineer with at least 5 years of experience of site activities (mechanical erection , piping & valves , tanks , rotating engines , heat exchangers , quality control , …)

Knowledge about large fired Boilers for Power Plants (and/or Steam Turbines and Feedwater and Steam Systems )
English speaking (German is an asset )
