One of our leading Dutch clients is searching for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to work on a new project currently being run out of Holland.


The Assignment

    * Our client is looking for someone to spend an initial 1 to 2 months in the engineering office which is located in the Dordrecht region.
    * Following the initial preparation phase you will follow the project to site which is located just south of Groningen. The anticipated time spent at site would be circa 6months.


The Project:
    * This is the first modular gasification of residues for energy generation in the Netherlands
    * The gassed residues will generate steam, heat and electricity supply. The steam output of the plant is 30,000 tons per year and a 2.6 MW turbine / generator will be supplying 15.6 GW per year.
    * The main components of the gasification plant consists of three units, three cyclones, a boiler, a flue gas cleaning and a steam generator set.


The Role:
    * You will be the Lead engineer for Mechanical engineering for the preparation period and for the work performed on the construction site (not construction supervision but engineering from the site office).
    * You will be checking out mechanical work packages
    * You will be the point of contact for the site team for technical queries relating to the engineering works

 
The Requirements:
    * You will have 10 – 15 years engineering experience and would have held a ‘Lead Engineer’ position on at least one previous project for mechanical works
    * You will speak Fluent English
    * Experience working as an office based Mechanical engineer and familiar with office environment (rather than a site/installation/construction supervisor)
    * Should be eligible to work in the EU

Rate:                €All-Inclusive hourly rate
Location:         Initially Dordrecht region, then to site (South east of Groningen)
Duration:          7-8 Months (Engineering office (Dordrecht region) & Site (South east of Groningen))
