Site HSE Manager

Main function
Implement and maintain effective HSE management on site resulting in achieving HSE objectives

Reporting Relationship
Up - To the site manager on daily matters, to HoD of company QHSE department on general matters
Down - N/A (site HSE organisation my possibly be enlarged, in which case the HSE engineers will report to the site HSE manager )

Main duties and responsibilities
The site HSE manager has to ensure that the project health, safety and environmental objectives are met through the implementation of the respective project procedures.

The responsibilities of the HSE Manager include the following:
Issue of Project HSE plan and implementation of the same throughout all site activities
Organisation, planning, coordination, recording and control of site related HSE studies and reviews during the Project, including risk assessments
Coordination of site HSE Audits, as defined by the Project Audit Schedule;
Preparation and provision of guidelines to construction personnel at site;

Liaison with Site Manager for resolving HSE issues raised by the client or other involved parties
Collect statistical data transmit respective reports to QHSE department Bonn
Checking of supplier/subcontractor contracts

Authority
At site level speaks on behalf of Client on HSE matters
In the event of unsafe working conditions may decide to stop work

Qualification
Professional qualification in HSE
Knowledge of OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001
Several years professional site experience in the oil & gas industry
Very good written and spoken English, other languages (in particular Portuguese) of advantage
Standard PC skills (Microsoft Office, Visio)
Communicative, firm but fair, open to intercultural working
Independent working style, Organisational faculties
